Our Day in Court: Transcript of Court Hearing on City Council's Open Meetings Law Violations7/20/2018 New Orleans, La. -- On Thursday, July 19th, residents and local groups had a day in court on a lawsuit regarding City Council’s violations of the Louisiana Open Meetings Law. More than 70 New Orleanians were locked out of key public City Council meetings on Entergy's gas plant proposal.The lawsuit involves Entergy's use of paid actors to crowd out residents during City Council meetings. The Honorable Piper Griffin is the presiding judge. Judge Griffin said she would rule from the bench on Tuesday, July 24th at 9:30am.
